Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Boy am I walking advertisement for that saying! No really, in the sayings dictionary there is a picture of me for this one. There's a before picture where I have red hair, then an after absolutely corrupting there's me with black hair and veins, the final after after picture is me with red hair again.

On my defense though, it wasn't that it was the absolute power that corrupted me it was hate and vengeance. The absolute power didn't help though, because once I got a taste of it, I wanted more. I went in search of more power, and more dark magic to feed my anger and hate.

Everyone focuses on the part where I was going to end the world. And yeah bad thing to do but I was going to end everyone's pain. It wasn't like I was going to bring hell on earth. And hey for the record it was Giles that made me feel the pain of everybody.

Anyways, back to the subject of me being corrupted. There is this rush that you feel when you hold someone's life in the palm of your hand. Not saying it's a good thing only that it is very addictive. Once you've felt it, you are very aware, really hyper-aware, of feeling that way again. I won't lie, it's a constant battle every day, not to give into that temptation. I have my friends and the ability to go to another plain of existence to help me get through it, but it's always there.

[Locked to those that know about Amy]

The one thing that keeps me from being Darth Rosenberg again is I don't want to become Amy. She's scary. Seriously, wicked witch 'I'll get you my pretty' scary. Well, okay, more like 'Here's Johnny' scary but you get the point and I don't ever want to be like that again.

So while it's true that absolute power corrupts absolutely, you can come back from it with a lot of help from your friends. Hence the red hair again and the after after picture.

Board Games Prompt – Mouse Trap

Have you ever had one of those dreams where you wake up and you're not sure if you're still dreaming or not? That's what I felt when we set up the trap for Amy Madison at Slayer Central. Then I fell into my nightmare.

You know, after Tara died, I used to dream about Warren skinless. Sometimes I saw him when I was awake, too. Just flashes of him. I didn't after that spell that Amy did on me when I kissed Kennedy. That broke the bond I guess. Nothing could have prepared me for seeing him when I was sucked through the portal to Sunnydale though. I thought the nightmare was over, but I was wrong. It was just waiting for the right time.

It started out so well. We all had our parts to play and we were playing them. The trap was set so perfectly. What we hadn't counted on was the military working with Amy, or Amy working with the military. What's that saying? The enemy of my enemy is my friend. They both hated me and Buffy enough to work together. It worked.

I got sucked through the portal which was what Amy wanted, and she knew Buffy would come after me which was what the military wanted. I just wasn't prepared for what was on the other side. Warren. Alive because of Amy's magic. I was in a waking nightmare. The trap I'd set for Amy ended up catching me instead. Thank goodness for Buffy coming to save me... again.

Warren and Amy are still out there, but we'll catch them. This time I'll set up a better trap, a rat trap.

Can the life or death of one person actually change the world?

Definitely to both.

[Locked from those that don't know Buffy and Dawn's secret]

The life of one person can literally change the world. Dawn, Buffy's sister, began life as a mystical energy that monks were trying to protect. They sent her to Buffy in the form of her sister. In one moment, the monks changed the world. Memories of knowing Dawn when Buffy came to Sunnydale, especially times when she would follow us around, and sibling rivalry suddenly appeared in our minds. It was like an alternate timeline where we had no memories of any other. Dawn is very real, and so are the memories and the emotions tied to her.

Just as the life of one person can literally change the world, so can the death. Death was Buffy's gift and she gave it with grace. Because of her sacrifice, the world wasn't consumed by demons or became a hell dimension. Dawn's blood as the Key would open up a rift, and it was Summer's blood that closed the rift.

[Locked PRIVATE]

And it was my bringing Buffy back to life that could have changed the world again. It was because of me the First started killing the Potentials, and the balance of light and dark was tipped. Not only can the life or death of one person change the world it can tip the balance of good and evil.

It's that time of year, when you see them everywhere. So write a fic using Girl Scout Cookies in it.

There was this one time, in high school, when we had to sell chocolates to make money for band uniforms even though we weren't in it. Bad memories. Trust me you don't want to partake in any organized food selling. So whenever I see those cheerful moms or kids coming to the door and wanting to sell cookies, I turn out the lights and pretend I'm not home.

Don't believe me? Okay, picture an adult that thinks she's a teenager. Bad right? Jerry Springer material but not something to put you off buying food from cute kids. Well, then think of her wanting to make out with the father figure in your life. Scarred for life, seriously. One, you don't want to think about old people doing it and two, you really don't want to see your best friend's mom or Giles and picture them kissing each other.

Sorry, Buffy I didn't mean to bring up the whole Joyce and Giles bleach my brain incident.

Now, picture the whole town where you live with the adults acting like that. Trust me, you do not want to see what your parents or the neighbor across the street was like as a teenager. Sure, some were a doofus as a kid just like they are as an adult, like Principal Snyder. But some really surprise you, and not in a good way.

Take my advice, when the cute kids in their cute uniforms come to your door. Turn off the lights and pretend you're not home. Just say no to Girl Scout Cookies.
