Just Muse Me Prompt 20 - U-turns

Lucky for me that the fates, the goddess, god, whatever you believe in does allow U-turns because boy howdy have I needed it. If someone from my future told me what my life was going to be like I would have thought they were nuts. Well, to be honest I would have thought they were nuts anyway if they told me they were from my future but still definitely whacko.
U-turn number one was the whole addicted to magic thing which can I say no one told me about. You would have thought that Giles or Jenny or someone would have mentioned that little fact. Anyway, addiction all gone. Life should have been smooth sailing right? Yeah, not so much.
U-turn number two was the whole Willow becomes Darth Vader and goes to the dark side. Okay sure, had a little help with the whole anger issue of Tara's death but still man oh man did I turn into a poopey head. Lucky for me my best friend … make that best friends helped me out with that one. Xander saved the world that day, Giles helped me to control it and Buffy didn't hold it against me. Seriously, it could have easily gone really, really wrong.
Right now I'm good with the no U-turns but everyone knows that they come in threes. I am so not looking forward to what I do to make U-turn number three. My luck, I'll turn into Dark Willow again and screw up the future.

Date: 2015-11-12 02:57 am (UTC)I know something about what you mean by U-Turns, to me they are often called "Snap-Turns" based on the piloting games I enjoyed and still enjoy in my younger years as well as now.
As a rule, you Don't want to do them in the realm of morals, but Boy are they handy when it comes to when you've realized you were doing wrong to begin with.
I do love a good repentance story, and yours are among the best.
Please don't get discouraged in your efforts to serve rightiousness- that is undoubtably the ultimate challenge and, to some degree, sport as well.
